My Favorite Photos - November - Swap from Happy Mom

Hi everyone!  So excited to share these with you, and it was hard to limit to just a few.  We had such a crazy busy and good month... My daughter married the love of her life just 2 weeks ago, so family and friends were here from near and far.

The month was made even more special with some milestones reached for all of us, and we've entered the holiday season with so much joy that we just might burst!  I hope you enjoy the pix - We haven't even gotten the photographer's package yet, just some previews.

My daughter and me

At the altar - That's hubby and me in the front row.

"First Look"

That arbor was amazing - I still have some of the flowers on my kitchen table.

This is a collage I made of photos from my daughter's wedding, my parents, and my husband and me.  All 3 brides wore the same gown, which was embroidered inside with each of our names and wedding dates.  We have a few shots that will be great together in frames with similar poses, showing the generations.

Having our son home from Colorado was so good!  I miss that kid, and I know it meant a lot to everyone.  His girlfriend couldn't make the wedding here because she was in a wedding the same weekend, but we hope to meet her early next year.  They seem so well suited for each other - both love mountain biking, dogs and the outdoors.

He sent this picture from a bike ride with his girlfriend.

These next 2 shots are from my trip to Knoxville, the week before the wedding.  Feels good to get out on the road again.  With all the problems people seem to have with flights, my experience was hassle-free, and I was so thankful.  I celebrated with some champagne!

And last, but not least... our Thanksgiving dinner table.  Our son was already back in Colorado, so it was just my husband and me, plus the newlyweds.  Everything was delicious and it was a nice reconnect after all the hustle and bustle!

So - those are my photos this time around.  Hope you had a great month, and that December is filled with Christmas love and joy!

Hugs,

Ilyse

My Favorite Photos - October

What a whirlwind!  We are swamped with wedding plans and activities...  It's so much fun to be on this journey with my daughter and her fiancé, and I can't believe the wedding is in 2 weeks!

Here are some of my favorite photos - It was hard to choose, but here we go:

This first pic is part of the original engagement photo shoot, which they used mostly to get to know the photographer and share ideas for the wedding.

These next two are from my son, who is an avid mountain bike rider.  He shares some incredible photos and, as an artist, he sees things so thoroughly - if that's even a thing.  I see things I like but don't really know why I like them, while he sees things and comments about color, contrast, etc...  Regardless, I enjoy all he shares, even if some of the mountain trails he navigates scare me to death!

This next one is a screen shot of Wordle.  I started with "RADIO" since I host an internet radio show and it was on my mind when I started - plus, it's a great starting wordl  Then I totally used the O to spell "SLOTH" and about fainted when that was the wordle of the day!  Lucky guess!

These next 2 were snagged from local photographers.  The moon was crazy that night!

Tilly and I participated in my company's annual 5K walk/run and since we all work remotely around the country, we share photos of our day.  This next was is the one I shared, plus 2 I took along the way.

Here's one from a wedding shower for my daughter.  She's started collecting vintage Pyrex and I found a pristeen set of bowls for her!

I mentioned my radio show... This next picture shows my "studio" aka craft room and sales office!    Give us a listen - I host "Richmond After Dark" weekdays from 7P-11P Eastern time.  You can listen with our app or online at THE BREEZE.

Last, but definitely not least...I'm not a fan of Halloween, but my niece had her baby this month and dressed her up for her first Halloween!  This is our family's first grandchild and we are so in love - I can't wait to meet her in person!

Guess that's it for this time around.  Wedding pix next month - I can't wait to share!

Have a great month and a Happy Thanksgiving!

ESG: My Favorite Photos - September

How is it already OCTOBER?!  It feels like it should still be July....but the calendar says October, so I'm doing my best to get with the program!

I hope you enjoy my photos from September.

First up - my instagram feed is flooded with dogs, sloths and pandas.  I love them all, and chose this one to share.  They are so cute!

The Jewish New Year began on September 25th and I snagged this photo to share online.  I've always loved the symbolism of the items included - the apples and honey welcome in a sweet new year, the shofar proclaims God's faithfulness, the pomegranate and its seeds can represent the many ways we can be a blessing in the year ahead.

We have such pretty sunsets at our Swift Creek Reservoir!  This photo was shared on our neighborhood Facebook page, and I love it!

As I'm writing this, our new internet radio station just launched today, and I took this picture of my little set-up.  My office desk was already doing double duty as a sales office during the work week and a craft table on the weekends.  Now it's a radio studio when I can squeeze in time to record my shifts.  Give us a listen at THE BREEZE.

With the change in our weather, I made some yummy white chicken chili the other night, and cut open an avocado as a garnish.  This was such a perfect avocado, I had to snap a picture - LOL!  Little things like that make my day!

So, that's it for this time around!  I'd love to see your swap too, if you care to share.  And thanks for posting a rating, so I know you received this OK.

Have a great month and Happy Fall!

ESG: My Favorite Photos - August

Thanks for checking out a couple of my favorite photos from August!

Let's start with the pups for the month 💖🐾💖🐾💖🐾💖🐾💖

First up is Pica - My son and his dog live in SW Colorado  - breath-taking scenery and fresh mountain air.

Next is my daughter's pup Iris, celebrating "Gotcha Day"

And my sweet girl, Tilly - chilling on the couch - our regular evening routine!

This next photo is one I'll cherish forever.  I'm excited to be part of a new internet radio station that launches on October 1st.  The 4 of us have worked together off and on at different radio stations over the past 40 years, and now have the opportunity to do our thing as we want to!

Click on THIS LINK to check it out and listen to the preview online.
Click HERE to read a great article written about this endeavor.

This next photo is one I took as my 6 AM flight was leaving Nashville, heading home to Richmond, after 4 days meeting with clients there.

Lastly, Tilly and I walk out to the reservoir near us, and I snapped this of the ducks.  Walking by the water is always so calming.

That's it for this time around - Hope you enjoyed my shares and thanks for posting a rating.  See ya next time!

Hugs,

ESG: My Favorite Photos - July

Here are a few of my favorites from the past month - Hope you enjoy seeing them!

This first one is a collage I shared from a nice long walk that Tilly and I took. The route from my house to the water and back is just under 3 miles and I try to do that at least a few times every month.  It's always so worth it!

This next shot was on our neighborhood Facebook group, showing the fireworks out on the water.  We used to go there ever summer when the kids were little, and it was so much fun seeing everyone having a good time.

I take so many photos of Tilly... she's not too spoiled, is she??

This next picture is of some of the best watermelon I've ever eaten!  The only problem is that I ate too much of it - but it was really good!

And last, but not least... this was a yummy salad I made with farm fresh veggies.  I love fresh veggies in the summer - everything is so crisp and crunchy, and flavorful!

That's it for this month!  Hope you enjoyed seeing the photos, and thanks for posting a rating so I know you received this OK.

I always enjoy seeing everyone's photos, so even if I'm not one of your "send-to" partners, I'd love to see your swap too, if you care to share.

Thanks and have a great August!

Cheers,
Ilyse - HappyMom

ESG: My Favorite Photos - June

Hello and Happy Summertime!
I hope you enjoy taking a look at just a couple of my favorite photos from June.
It's always so hard to narrow it down..

First up is one that I snagged from the internet.  This is Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert when they announced their engagement. They're both dancers and so romantic.
I thought this photo was a keeper - I could watch them for hours!

And another romantic picture is one of my daughter and her fiancé taken at a concert they attended.  Love the bib overalls :)

This next one is my Tilly on one of our many romps in the backyard.  She's a sweetie!

I've posted about remodeling my bathroom, and I'm happy to say that we're finally done.  If you want to see all my photos from the experience, you can check them out in my GOOGLE PHOTOS.  The finishing touch is this cute towel with a sloth on it.

I had my first business trip to meet with clients since the start of the pandemic, and spent 3 days in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I snapped this while walking downtown.

I liked the positive messages on the packets of Stevia I bought on my road trip.  One of my favorite sayings is "Assume Positive Intent" and I was tickled to see it when I was having my coffee at the hotel.

And, last, but not least.... I found this dahlia on a recent walk.  Isn't it beautiful?

That's it for this time around.  Thanks for taking a look.  I'd love to see your favorite photos too, if you care to share.  You can follow me on INSTAGRAM too.

Hope you have a great summer and stay safe!

Cheers,
Ilyse

ESG: My Favorite Photos - May

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog 😀.  I'm happy to share my favorite photos for the monthly swap here, and hope you enjoy seeing them.

This first one is from Instagram.  I love the SW part of the USA and wish I was closer.  It's so different from here on the east coast.

I've shared flowers from this particular rosebush before but I'm always so pleased to see new blooms on it.  I call this "Fred's Rose" because my friend brought the rosebush to me the day my dad died in 2000, and it's still so pretty!  The colors change a bit each time it blooms.

This is Tilly enjoying some deck time.  Our weather has been so nice - It's starting to get super hot and humid, but I love this time of year and wish we had it year-round.

This is Pica - my son's dog.  They live in Colorado, so I appreciate the texts my son sends.  Bonus when he shares pix of Pica!

Next up - Equal time for my daughter and her pup, Iris.  We Facetime often, and Iris thinks she's a lapdog!

My daughter is getting married in November, and we took a bunch of pictures for their "Save the Date" cards.  This was one of my favorites.

Tilly and I like to walk down to the Swift Creek Reservoir.  It's about 3 miles and seeing the water is a great reward for our diligence!

Tilly is such a snuggle bug!  She burrows into the pillows, and you'd think someone forgot to make the bed.

We celebrated Memorial Day this past weekend, and I grilled sausage and asparagus.  Came out yummy!  The sausage on the left is plant-based.  I've come to prefer that over pork.  And the asparagus with garlic, salt and parmesan cheese is a favorite!

That's it for this time around.  Hope you have a great month, and thanks for posting a rating for me.

Cheers,
Ilyse - Happy Mom

My Favorite Photos - August - Swap from Happy Mom

Holy Moly - Can't believe it's been almost a full year since I shared my Favorite Photo Swap on this blog.  It's been a wild ye...
