ESG: My Favorite Photos - July

Here are a few of my favorites from the past month - Hope you enjoy seeing them!

This first one is a collage I shared from a nice long walk that Tilly and I took. The route from my house to the water and back is just under 3 miles and I try to do that at least a few times every month.  It's always so worth it!

This next shot was on our neighborhood Facebook group, showing the fireworks out on the water.  We used to go there ever summer when the kids were little, and it was so much fun seeing everyone having a good time.

I take so many photos of Tilly... she's not too spoiled, is she??

This next picture is of some of the best watermelon I've ever eaten!  The only problem is that I ate too much of it - but it was really good!

And last, but not least... this was a yummy salad I made with farm fresh veggies.  I love fresh veggies in the summer - everything is so crisp and crunchy, and flavorful!

That's it for this month!  Hope you enjoyed seeing the photos, and thanks for posting a rating so I know you received this OK.

I always enjoy seeing everyone's photos, so even if I'm not one of your "send-to" partners, I'd love to see your swap too, if you care to share.

Thanks and have a great August!

Cheers,

ESG: My Favorite Photos - June

Hello and Happy Summertime!
I hope you enjoy taking a look at just a couple of my favorite photos from June.
It's always so hard to narrow it down..

First up is one that I snagged from the internet.  This is Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert when they announced their engagement. They're both dancers and so romantic.
I thought this photo was a keeper - I could watch them for hours!

And another romantic picture is one of my daughter and her fiancΓ© taken at a concert they attended.  Love the bib overalls :)

This next one is my Tilly on one of our many romps in the backyard.  She's a sweetie!

I've posted about remodeling my bathroom, and I'm happy to say that we're finally done.  If you want to see all my photos from the experience, you can check them out in my GOOGLE PHOTOS.  The finishing touch is this cute towel with a sloth on it.

I had my first business trip to meet with clients since the start of the pandemic, and spent 3 days in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I snapped this while walking downtown.

I liked the positive messages on the packets of Stevia I bought on my road trip.  One of my favorite sayings is "Assume Positive Intent" and I was tickled to see it when I was having my coffee at the hotel.

And, last, but not least.... I found this dahlia on a recent walk.  Isn't it beautiful?

That's it for this time around.  Thanks for taking a look.  I'd love to see your favorite photos too, if you care to share.  You can follow me on INSTAGRAM too.

Hope you have a great summer and stay safe!

Cheers,
Ilyse

ESG: My Favorite Photos - May

Hello and thanks for visiting my blog πŸ˜€.  I'm happy to share my favorite photos for the monthly swap here, and hope you enjoy seeing them.

This first one is from Instagram.  I love the SW part of the USA and wish I was closer.  It's so different from here on the east coast.

I've shared flowers from this particular rosebush before but I'm always so pleased to see new blooms on it.  I call this "Fred's Rose" because my friend brought the rosebush to me the day my dad died in 2000, and it's still so pretty!  The colors change a bit each time it blooms.

This is Tilly enjoying some deck time.  Our weather has been so nice - It's starting to get super hot and humid, but I love this time of year and wish we had it year-round.

This is Pica - my son's dog.  They live in Colorado, so I appreciate the texts my son sends.  Bonus when he shares pix of Pica!

Next up - Equal time for my daughter and her pup, Iris.  We Facetime often, and Iris thinks she's a lapdog!

My daughter is getting married in November, and we took a bunch of pictures for their "Save the Date" cards.  This was one of my favorites.

Tilly and I like to walk down to the Swift Creek Reservoir.  It's about 3 miles and seeing the water is a great reward for our diligence!

Tilly is such a snuggle bug!  She burrows into the pillows, and you'd think someone forgot to make the bed.

We celebrated Memorial Day this past weekend, and I grilled sausage and asparagus.  Came out yummy!  The sausage on the left is plant-based.  I've come to prefer that over pork.  And the asparagus with garlic, salt and parmesan cheese is a favorite!

That's it for this time around.  Hope you have a great month, and thanks for posting a rating for me.

Cheers,

My Favorite Photos - March

Well, the first quarter of 2022 has come and gone!  This year is going by so fast, but it seems every year does.  I'm happy to share a couple of photos with you from March and I hope you enjoy them.

🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Tilly and I have enjoyed some good walks and lots of playtime in our yard.  This first shot is from one of the trails we walk most often.  That's not really a creek, but we had so much rain that it looks like one!

This next one is from our yard.

And this is my sweetie after she got a bath.

I took this next picture when we had a new roof put on our house.  The guys doing the work were so good!  Next, we need to do landscaping (April 11th) and have quite a lot of the siding replaced.

This picture is of a hawk that I saw on one of our walks.  He posed for me and then flew away.  His wingspan was huge!

And last, but not least, this was taken when I first noticed the trees coming back to life.  That always makes me so happy!

That's about all I've got to share this time around.  I really didn't go anywhere or do anything very exciting....LOL.  Hope you have a great month ahead and Happy Swapping!

My Favorite Photos - January

Hello friends!  Nice to share my favorite January photos with you 😊 It’s always so hard to decide  which ones to pick, but these should do the trick!

My son came home from Colorado for Christmas and stayed through January 3rd.  This first photo is his dog Pica, and my dog Tilly. Thankfully, they got along perfectly and even posed for some pics.

Next is my husband and our son.  It sure was good being together over the holidays.

So, you may have heard about the fiasco on I-95 in Virginia, when people were stranded for 30 hours due to snow and horrible road conditions. Well, that was the day Jacob left to head back to Colorado, but thankfully, he went west, not north, and wasn’t stuck there. This next picture is one he sent me from I-64. There were trees down on both sides of the road, and he saw several fall as he drove by.  It took almost 4 hours to get to Charlottesville, which is usually only 90 minutes from home, so instead of a 30-hour drive, it was 35. I was so relieved when he made it home safely!

And back here at home, we had about 4” of snow that froze on the trees.
It was pretty for a bit, but I’m not a fan!  This is in my backyard.

Actually, this next photo is more my style!  I love the beautiful sunsets we see when it looks like the clouds are on fire and they blend from pink to orange to purple.  I took this one right at my front door.

Now this next one will show you what a nerd I can be!  I love the TV show "New Amsterdam" and on this particular episode, the main character, Max, was wearing a BROWN hoodie.  I'm a proud Brown Alumna - Class of 1978 - so of course, I paused the TV and took a pic!

I thought I'd share this picture of a coleus plant that I've nursed back to health.  He's looking happy, don't you think?

Here's a picture that my daughter sent me of her and her fiancΓ© when they were out running errands.  I think they're so cute - very well-suited for each other!

And, last, but surely not least - - My Tilly is happy to make an appearance here, and wish you all the best for the month ahead.  She looks pretty innocent, doesn't she?  LOL - got you fooled!

Thanks for checking out my photos from January!

My Favorite Photos - October

I chose 7 photos to share from October.  It was hard to narrow it down, since I'm obsessed with pictures of my dog and the changing leaves!  I hope you like the ones that made the cut πŸ˜€

First up:  Finally got to go to dinner out.  I'm always amazed by how seldom we do that now, when before the pandemic, we went several times a week.  Truth is - it's really a treat now.  This was taken when my daughter and her FIANCΓ‰ came back from their trip to Boston, which is where he proposed.

Matt-Callie-Me-Michael

This next photo is me in my 'costume' for my company's Virtual Halloween party.  I am not a fan of Halloween in general, but this was just a T-shirt and mask - the cape came with the shirt - LOL!

This photo is unfiltered, and I love the bright colors against the perfect sky.  I made this my Facebook cover too.

I took this next photo when I dropped my husband off at the airport.  He went to visit family in Kentucky, and was thrilled to be able to travel.

I had to include these next 2 shots that my son shared from his adventures in Colorado.  He is having a blast riding his mountain bike and bouldering practically every day.

And last, but not least... I screen shot this from my daughter's Instagram stories last night - Unlike her mom, she loves Halloween πŸŽƒπŸ’›

And... that's a wrap!  Hope you liked the ones I selected.  Thanks for swapping and I hope you have a great month!

Cheers,

My Favorite Photos - September - Swap from Happy Mom

September was a busy month!  Here are some highlights πŸ˜€

My first few pictures are from just the other day...  My daughter got engaged!  Her boyfriend planned the proposal for the trip they're on to Boston this week.  I'm so impressed with how he put things all together.

Earlier this month, they adopted a sweet dog from the shelter, named Iris.  She's a retriever-pitt mix and so very sweet!

And not to feel left out - here's a pic of my dog, Tilly ...

And my son's dog, Pica - They live in Colorado:

Jacob bought a new truck this past month - It's a beauty!  Hence, the Toyota hat!

This next picture was taken after the team won the championship.  My brother (3rd from left) is the coach and our family was raised on hockey!
The others in the photo are my niece and her husband, plus my nephew.
Yes, my niece is on the team!

Here are a few shots + a selfie from a recent walk ...  I'm participating in the 52 Hike Challenge, and this was Week 8 for me.

Those are my photos from September...I hope you liked seeing them.  Hope everyone there is happy and healthy - Stay safe and Swap Soon :)
